ATLANTA (March 13, 2017) — Late Sunday evening part one of the "DYNAMIS: A Dialogue for Strengthening Our Parishes and Parishioners" tour concluded in Birminingham, Ala. Beginning on March 7, the tour visited the following cities:
Jacksonville, Fla.
Orlando, Fla.
Clearwater, Fla.
Boca Raton, Fla.
Mobile, Ala.
Birmingham, Ala.
Traveling on the tour was His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta, two staff members from the Metropolis (Zoe Kafkes, Communications Director and Julie Morciz, Youth, Education and Hellenic Culture Coordintator), and two volunteers leading the Strategic Planning efforts (Bill Marianes and Chris Mandaleris). Joining the second part of the tour will be a third Strategic Planning volunteer, Gerry Clonaris. Bill, Chris, and Gerry make up the Implementation Headquarters with Very Rev. Fr. George Tsahakis and His Eminence and are responsible for making sure that the best product is delivered when completing the 34 Strategic Goals.
Presentations on the tour focused on creating a dialogue between the parishes and the Metropolis, ensuring that those present understand the Metropolis is there to serve the parishes, the progress of the Strategic Plan to date, and the various Youth programs offered at the Metropolis level.
His Eminence thanks the communities that have hosted so far and those who have driven out to attend the meeting closest to them. He is excited to be out among his flock and is energized by the passion to grow our Metropolis.
The DYNAMIS tour is on hiatus this week for the annual Spring Metropolis Meetings in Atlanta but continues beginning on Sunday, March 19 at Annunciation Cathedral in Atlanta. From Atlanta, it continues to the following cities:
Greenville, S.C. on March 20
Greensboro, N.C. on March 21
Charlotte, N.C. on March 22
Florence, S.C. on March 23
All meetings begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and conclude by 9:30 p.m. There is over an hour dedicated to question and answer, so please come prepared with questions so your Metropolis can serve you!
